Water Treatment Systems for Your Home
We fit four kinds of systems, and each one solves a different problem. Whole-home filtration takes chlorine taste and odor out of every tap, reverse osmosis gives you a dedicated drinking-water faucet at the kitchen sink, a softener handles hardness and scale, and UV water treatment adds a layer of protection against microorganisms. Installations are handled by subcontracted master-licensed plumbers, and each install carries our 1-year workmanship warranty on installation-related defects, alongside the manufacturer's warranty of 5 years on valves and 10 years on tanks. Some homes need only one of these, and some pair two, such as a whole-home filter with a drinking-water unit under the sink.

Whole-Home Filtration
A point-of-entry carbon system that treats every tap and shower in your home, sized to your water and fitted with a careful, clean installation.

Water Softeners
Softeners sized to your measured hardness, installed neatly at your loop or main line, with the work area protected and cleaned before we leave.

Reverse Osmosis
An under-sink system that gives you filtered drinking and cooking water from its own faucet, installed with the cabinet and countertop protected.

UV Water Treatment
A chemical-free UV chamber at your main line that neutralizes bacteria and viruses, fitted with a sediment prefilter and a tidy finish.
How We Work Inside Your Home
A filtration install means opening cabinets, cutting into supply lines and carrying heavy tanks through your house. We plan for that from the moment we arrive.
- 01
Protection goes down before tools come out
We lay runners from the door to the work area and cover the floor under the sink or beside the water heater. Cabinet contents come out onto a cloth, not the countertop. Shoe covers stay on inside.
- 02
Experienced hands on every connection
Installations are handled by subcontracted master-licensed plumbers. The shutoffs, bypass valves and drain lines are fitted by people who do code-compliant plumbing every day, and each soldered or crimped joint is checked under pressure before anything is closed up.
- 03
Cleanup at the end of every day
Most installs finish in one visit. When a job runs longer, we clear the area each evening so you are not stepping around fittings and cartons overnight. On the last day we haul away the packaging and any old equipment, and we wipe down the cabinet and floor.
- 04
Coverage written on your paperwork
Installation-related defects fall under our 1-year workmanship warranty. On the equipment, the manufacturer covers valves for 5 years and tanks for 10. Both are noted on your paperwork so you know who to contact and when.
- 05
A recommendation that matches your water
We suggest a softener only if your hardness reading supports one, and we will tell you when a single drinking-water system covers what you need. Fewer pieces of equipment also means less work in your home.
How an Install Runs, Start to Finish
Here is what to expect from the first phone call through the final walkthrough.
- 1
A phone call about your water
Tell us what you notice, whether it is a chlorine smell, spots on glassware or scale on fixtures. We set a time to visit that suits your schedule.
- 2
Water test and a look at your plumbing
We test a sample at your tap and look at where the main line enters, where a drain is available and how much room there is. You get the readings explained in plain terms.
- 3
Your options on paper
We recommend the system that fits the results, sometimes one, sometimes two, and give you a line-item quote. There is no pressure to decide on the spot.
- 4
Install day
Floors and cabinets are covered first. The water is shut off for a few hours while the plumber ties in the system, and then every joint is checked for leaks under full pressure.
- 5
Walkthrough and cleanup
Before we pack up, you will know where the bypass handle sits, which cartridge comes out first and roughly how many months to expect between changes. Then the area is wiped down, the cartons leave with us and your cabinet goes back the way it was.
What Shapes the Price of a System
No two installs cost the same, because no two houses are plumbed the same. The system you choose sets the starting point, and the layout of your plumbing does most of the rest. Here is what we look at before we give you a number.
Standard professional installation included for qualifying homes. After your water test we walk you through a line-item quote by phone, with every part and labor charge listed before you decide.
- Type of system
- An under-sink reverse osmosis unit is a smaller job than a whole-home filter and softener on the main line. Combining systems in one visit usually saves labor compared with adding them later.
- Household size and daily demand
- A busy house with several baths needs equipment rated for higher flow and tanks that hold more media. That keeps pressure even during the morning rush, when showers, the washer and the kitchen tap all draw at once.
- Where the equipment goes
- A garage with open wall space and a nearby main line is straightforward. Tight closets, finished walls or a long run to the supply line add time and materials.
- Condition of the existing plumbing
- Older copper or galvanized pipe, a seized main shutoff or a corroded fitting may need replacing before new equipment can be tied in. We point these out and show you before any extra work is done.
- Drain and power access
- A softener flushes during regeneration, and a reverse osmosis unit sends its reject water away, so both have to discharge somewhere close. A UV lamp runs on household current and wants an outlet within reach. If your space lacks either one, we add it during the install.

A Small Company That Treats Your Home Carefully
Water Filtration Richardson installs filtration and softening equipment for homeowners who want better water without a messy, drawn-out project. We keep our list of systems short on purpose, so we know each one well: how the media behaves, how often cartridges need changing and which fittings hold up over time.
We think the way a job ends matters as much as how it starts. A tidy cabinet, a neatly labeled bypass valve and a floor with no drips on it are the details you live with long after we leave, and we treat them that way.

- Installations handled by subcontracted master-licensed plumbers
- Warranty
- 1-year workmanship warranty on installation-related defects; Manufacturer warranty: 5 years on valves, 10 years on tanks
Questions Homeowners Ask Us
Something not covered here? (972) 848-5923
My city water already meets standards. Do I need a filter at all?
Treated city water is safe to drink, and we will not tell you otherwise. Most people filter for taste and odor from disinfectant, for scale on fixtures and appliances, or for an extra layer of assurance in older plumbing. If your test shows nothing you want to change, we will say so.
Will a water softener help in my home?
It depends on your hardness reading. If the test shows enough hardness to leave scale in your water heater and spots on dishes, a softener makes a clear difference. If the reading is low, we will point you toward filtration or reverse osmosis instead.
How much mess does an installation make?
Very little that stays behind. We cover the floor and the path from the door, empty the cabinet onto a cloth and catch water in buckets when lines are opened. Before we leave, the packaging and old parts go with us and the area is wiped down.
What happens during the water test?
We draw a sample at your tap, check readings such as hardness and disinfectant level, and explain what they mean for your home. You also get a written water report to keep. The results guide which system, if any, we recommend.
What happens if something goes wrong after the install?
Installation-related defects are covered by our 1-year workmanship warranty. Should a joint or connection we put in start to drip or loosen during that first year, one phone call brings us back to correct it, with the same floor protection and care as the original visit.
Is installation included in the price?
Standard professional installation included for qualifying homes. If your plumbing needs extra work, such as a new shutoff or a drain line, we list that separately in your quote so nothing is a surprise.
Will I be without water during the install?
For a few hours, yes. We shut off the main only when the plumber is ready to tie in, and we tell you beforehand so you can plan around showers and laundry. Under-sink reverse osmosis jobs often need only the kitchen supply turned off.
